I graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-6). ROLL TIDE! I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade. I just fell in love with the sixth grade age and curriculum.
I was born in Plano, Texas (right outside of Dallas, TX) and lived there through 8th grade with the exception of about three years. I lived in Atlanta, Georgia for two years and Sydney, Australia for another year during 4th grade. It was by far the coolest experience I have ever had! Hopefully I can go back again soon. My family, mom, dad, younger brother (Preston), and Maci (my Sheltie), then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina the summer before my 9th grade year. I started my high school experience at Providence High School and then went to Ardrey Kell High School when it opened my sophomore year. We also added Baylee, chocolate lab, to the family after we moved to Charlotte.
Then I decided to go to The University of Alabama for college and wouldn't do it differently if I had the chance. I had a great experience at Alabama! Can I get a "ROLL TIDE!"?

This summer I got married to the greatest guy! Our wedding weekend was a true fairy tale! We ventured to Europe for our honeymoon and had the most wonderful time.
This year I am excited to incorporate a lot of different learning methods with the students. We will be doing a lot of collaboration work using technology, different novels, and literature circles. I am ecstatic about being able to infuse my enthusiasm and excitement into each lesson I teach, whether it be grammar, vocabulary, writing, or reading.
I strongly believe the more the students are interacting and involved with the lesson the more they get out of the lesson. Therefore, I encourage the students to be engaged and involved in each lesson. I look forward to getting to know all of my students and their families throughout the year! Feel free to contact me through the school office phone or my school email.
